Steamed is still in its early stages. We believe in building in public and sharing our vision for the future. The following is a glimpse into what we are working on to help you master Chinese reading.

Connected Ecosystem
We are transforming Steamed from a local tool into a cloud-connected platform. The priority is introducing secure user accounts (Sign in with Apple/Google) to ensure your vocabulary lists and reading progress sync seamlessly across all your devices.
Social Learning
With user accounts in place, we will introduce social features. Learning is better together, so we are adding the ability to follow friends, compare reading stats, and keep each other motivated on your language learning journey.
Deep Immersion
We want to push the boundaries of what and how you read. This update will bring "Real-World" reading types — interactive menus, street signs, and app interfaces — along with native audio support to help you perfect your listening and intonation.
Sustainability & Scale
To support the long-term life of the app, we plan to introduce optional premium tiers for power users. Alongside this, we will continue our commitment to content with a massive expansion of our library, covering new genres and topics.
